Three annexes, one system – the right fit for every setup
No other hard-shell roof top tent offers this range of annexes. Roof Space has developed three distinct solutions that differ clearly in size, weight and purpose:
The Family Base is the freestanding annex for 4–5 people – big enough to stand up in, sturdy enough for wind and rain, and the only roof top tent annex on the market that stands entirely independently of the vehicle. Ideal for longer trips and families who need living space.
The Light Base is the universal annex for roof top tents, for when you need privacy and shelter from the wind quickly and without fuss. Light, compact, up and down in a few minutes. Fits the RS2 and RS4 equally well.
The Light Awning is the flexible awning for anyone who doesn't want a fixed annex setup on the road. Use it as shade, rain cover or a windbreak – the ideal roof top tent accessory for spontaneous stops and short nights.
Universal or purpose-built – why the difference matters
Many roof top tent annexes on the market are universal solutions – they fit after a fashion, but never perfectly. Roof Space annexes are built to the exact frame and dimensions of the RS2 and RS4. No adapters, no compromises on waterproofing, no wobbly attachment. You notice the difference at the latest when it starts raining in the night.

More on the engineering, roof load and vehicle compatibility:
Roof Space started as a garage project – with an idea and the conviction that a roof top tent could be fundamentally better. More than 12,000 development hours later, the result is an award-winning product that defines a new category. With a minimum roof load of 75 kg, the Roof Space 2 fits around 95% of all vehicles; the Roof Space 4 needs 100 kg.
